Tuscany Dreaming

Tuscany Dreaming?

The region is full of little picturesque villages that you enter under arched walls with a rich cultural heritage. It is also extraordinary because of its fascinating landscape, with its charming countryside and rolling hills. It gave us the love of terracotta, olive leaf, and raw linens on beautifully rustic tables to channel in our piece of Tuscany in the lush hills in the village of Maleny, Queensland.

As we cannot currently travel, we took you there in mind and spirit for Showcase Take 2 in February this year.

Why take 2? The answer is covid lockdowns delaying our Showcase for the region, so we decided to inspire you in our Tuscan themed display to travel at home for the ultimate destination wedding. The team transformed the barn at The Old Dairy into a feasting celebration space for family and friends.

Combining rust linen napkins and stone wear plates on raw linen cloths, abundant blooms, olive oil favours, and our rust place card layered with off white arch shaped stationery menu’s as the finishing touch to the table settings.

We created the rust-coloured place card with a special little thank you message on it thanking friends and loved ones. Then we laid the arch shape menu in off white Cannabis Half paper stock on top of the rust place card. Notice the guest name sitting at the arch’s top curve, adding a little fun and how effective offsetting the shapes look. We also wanted that feasting table vibe of joining together, so we invited everyone to  “Dine With Us” to the menu wording.

The arch shape is one of the hottest trends for the end of 2021, into 2022 for wedding stationery and signage!

The menu and invitation paper has a fine texture to them and is slightly off white. This Gmund Paper – is called Cannabis Half, made from plant fibres and is compostable, thus providing nutrients to grow new plants. Gmund Bio Cycle goes a step further. Up to 50% of this paper is creative from resource-saving fibres such as wheat straw, grass, cotton and cannabis. Giving you a beautiful, sustainable product.

The rust coloured card stock for the menu – is called Gmund Harvest and looks especially good with the white ink printing and a garnishing sprig of olives.

Signage has become such statement feature, and we wanted that family fun feel, so we went for having a saying around the outside edge of the distinctive arch shape, that is a little playful, quirky, and inclusive.

It’s Time To Celebrate!

And Find Your Seat!

These elegant arch shapes are so on trend currently and make us feel as we have entered under the arched wall of a hidden village, especially against the stone backdrop.

The arch signs can stand directly on an easel or slot into a floor stand for a beautiful testament piece to the theme and tablescape.

Suppose you did not get to come to the Hinterland Summer Showcase in person. In that case, hopefully, we can take you on a journey now in our own Tuscany inspired concept, and we hope you feel the lo affetto to the countryside of Tuscany in Australia.
